How to ask a bridesmaid in a different country?

Most of my bridesmaids are in the US but I have one that I want to ask in Europe. How did you all ask your international bridesmaids? My wedding is in September so I worry I don't have time to send her a letter (it took 3 weeks the last time I sent her a letter), and it's hard for us to set up a call because of the time difference. Should I just text then send a follow-up letter?

    Same as you would in the same country: phone call/text/DM, However you normally communicate on a regular basis.

    FaceTime or Skype! Actually asked my best friend to be our officiant and bridesmaid and we just had to plan a good time. It’s totally doable, she was 9hrs ahead and we didn’t have much trouble, just needed to plan it out a little.

    This is definitely a phone conversation so I agree with the others- phone call, Skype or FaceTime.
