How to ask for address

So I have a lot of family members abroad and while I'm not inviting/expecting them to all come, I would like to invite a specific couple. We are limited to facebook messenger, so I won't be able to call them. How can I ask for their address while not putting pressure on them to attend. My wedding is in October. The plan is to just say: I hope you're doing well. How is life in ** treating you? FH and I would like to send you an invitation to our wedding on October 20th. Can you send me the best address for that? We completely understand if you can't make it, but would love to have you if you can!

How does that sound?

    I literally just said, "Hey I'm updating my address book can you send me yours." And people complied.

    But what you typed sounds fine.

    You're definitely overthinking it. Most people you are close with should know you are planning a wedding and will assume that's what it's for. I have a lot of friends graduating college/moving this summer so my text was "hey! Can I get the best address for you around mid-June?" then they responded with their address and i said thanks! Lol.

    Don't overthink this. You don't have to beat around the bush to ask for an address, especially when they probably are already aware you're getting married (if they're close enough to invite, I imagine they've already found out) Smiley smile
