Questions!! Me and my fiancé have a small registry of stuff we need but we mostly would like money. Is there a way to phrase it without sounding like give us all your money 🤣

I'm not creating a wedding registry, not asking for money, not having a bridal shower. We really don't want nor need gifts, since we both have a house and everything we need. I think people who want to give a gift but don't find a registry will automatically give cash.

This actually isn’t always true. I went to a shower where most of the “gifts” were gift cards to places like Target, Victoria’s Secret, etc. It’s totally doable

I saw an idea on wedding TikTok to make a honeymoon fund but add different experiences to it, like “margaritas for two” or “jet skiing excursion”. Then for some of the guests who don’t want to just give cash, they can feel like they bought you something. You could do something similar with other funds, like a house fund. I went to one wedding where the couple was in their 40s so they just asked on the invitation for no gifts unless people wanted to gift money for a new couch for their apartment.

My fiancé and I registered for very few things in hopes that people would, by default, give us money. Some people do have wedding or honeymoon funds, though keep in mind that the website generally takes a % of that.....
