How to ask if they want to be bridesmaid

This is what I had done. I got the cookies made, and I got the messages in the bottle from etsy!

Some do proposal boxes or some just simply ask

Well if your wedding is less than a year away, you probably would want to just go on ask them soon. That’s what I had to do. Having only 9 months before the wedding there was no time for anything cute. Especially since two were out of state. We had to start looking for dresses asap. I’m going to make it up to them with their gifts for the wedding weekend. They were understanding, even more excited to have me ask and just as appreciative.

I just gave my girls their favorite kind of wine in these bags and a hand written note about how much they mean to me on the back of these cards. You still have plenty of time to ask/do a bridesmaid proposal if that's what you want to do!

I went over the top! But see attached picture, top is MOH who got stuffed animal too. And then the Groomsmen boxes, with the Reaper one for my son & Anubis for my mom( his parents/kids & my dad/stepmom gave boxes too)


I hand painted wooden “treasure trunks” and had the girls “Hogwarts House Crest” and filled it with: candy, wine, wine glass, bottle opener, deck of customized cards, makeup brushes, notebooks, pens, pencils, bookmarks, Mystery “Harry Potter” keychain & wand, “House Crest” magnet, keychain, slap bracelet w/reversible sequins, face masks, robe with their name I. It, eye mask, neck pillow, book, cookies & a few other little things!
Each one cost me, minus time to do them, $100.
Dollar Tree, Ross, 5-Below, Thrift shops, AC Moore, Walmart, Target & eBay all were my go-to spots to buy the stuff for the boxes.

I got my asks from Etsy. The girls loved it!

Just call them? I find those proposal boxes to be a waste of money. My BM is out of state so I called her. MOH, um, I’m not I even sure I asked. We both just assumed.

I texted them individually first to make sure they could financially handle it & had the time to take off & available. Once they confirmed, I sent proposal boxes in the mail. They were wood jewelry boxes with liquor shooters, hair ties that said "to have and to hold your hair back", and nail polish!
