How to ask my uncle to walk me down the aisle

I’m so sorry for your lost. I lost my dad in June 2018.
I asked my uncle ( my dads brother) to walk me down the aisle..
all I did was I called my uncle on the phone and told him about my exciting news about getting married and he said he was so happy for me. And he actually said if you would like for me to walk you Down the aisle just let me know.. I told him this is part of the reason why I was calling you.. he told me it would be the best thing he could do for me and his brother awwww
i would just talk to your uncle about your wedding see how it goes then just ask him I bet he will love the idea!❤️😀

My dad passed away unexpectedly in December 2017. So I totally get what you are going through.
I'm asking my brother to walk me down the aisle. But I will be asking my uncle (my dads brother) to be our officiant!

Would you consider getting some sort of a keepsake made? Perhaps an embroidered handkerchief or a framed photo, with some text. For example, ‘I can’t imagine my wedding day, without you being the one to give me away’.
