How to Camouflage Bricks at a Venue you and your fiancé love?

How to Camouflage Bricks at a Venue you and your fiancé love? 1

Hi Brides!
I’m hoping some of you have dealt with this before and/or have some ideas on how I can deal with the cinder blocks at our venue. We hate them! But we love everything else about the venue. Our coordinator let us know the venue won’t let us remove them. My mom suggested we lay a garland around the top and around them, which I think will work for the two areas below. But are there any ideas for area above? I think a couple of thick garlands would still work, but I’m open to other ideas.

Lol, what were they thinking with those cinder blocks? 😜 The walkway is fine, it kind of blends in, but the rings around the flower beds 🤮!

Do you need to have any wedding moments or photos taken near those blocks? I’d probably try to just avoid the areas if at all possible. If not, I think garland could work. Or perhaps a very small picket fence border? Search picket fence for flower bed and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

I think adding decor to it might just bring more attention to it. I would just leave it as is unless it’s in center attention

Right?! I know it’s supposed to remind guests of a farm but I think this detail is a little too literal 😂

That being said, the rest is so lush and nothing important happens by those trees. After a day of brainstorming, we’re thinking of surround the tree with two horseshoe tables, covering those with tablecloths and putting our wedding timeline on those, where there won’t be any photos. Out of sight, out of mind! How to Camouflage Bricks at a Venue you and your fiancé love? 4
Now if only we had some idea of what else to put on them...Oh well! Another detail for another day. Thanks for your reply!

Wow, what is it about wedding planning that makes one lose their mind? I hate to admit this, but I worked weddings in college and I have heard event designers give the same advice you have-
If you don’t want people to notice something, don’t add something that would make them stop and take a look. Thank you for reminding me of that!
We’re going to stick with the garlands on top and around the bricks without plants. The bricks with plants will be under a table with a sign on it so no one has any reason to look elsewhere!

Sounds good! Maybe guest book or gift table? Or water bottles if it’ll be warm outside?
