Do you have a picture or a link? Often trying to cover something simply calls more attention to it.

The orange goes from floor to ceiling. Other than draping, which would cost a fortune, I don't see a way to cover the walls completely up.

Get a quote on draping. That’s the only way.

I agree with OGGretchen (like always). While the orange is only on one accent wall, there is a LOT of it. Short of a really expensive draping job, I don't see a way to cover it. I think your better option is to just try to work with it. Depending on the time of day for your reception, the colors may be more muted with softer lighting, so that might help. If it will be evening, and the lights are on different switches and/or dimmers, you might be able to keep the lights dim on the orange wall and it will probably blend in/fade -- and you can use more light on other walls/features to draw eyes away from the orange side of the room. (So, I wouldn't put the sweetheart table in the orange/striped alcove! Smiley winking)

You said your colors are black and gold, but what kind of a look/vibe are your going for? If you're going for an art deco-more formal theme, I think you're going to have a hard time making that blend with the venue. But, if you're going for a more fall-industrial-modern vibe I think you can totally make that work.

I'd focus on how can you downplay what you don't love and make the rest blend together. It looks like a cool space with potentially awesome views. Good luck!

I agree (ha!!). In broad daylight this seems harsh and overwhelming. In the evening, it won't seem like a huge deal and you can just play up other walls instead of trying to cover this one. One huge wall of draping will probably draw more attention to it than just working around it. I promise, nobody is going to be focused on what color one wall is. I couldn't tell you the color of the walls in any place I've gone to.

I actually love that accent wall, but I can see how you wouldn't for a black and gold wedding. There is one good thing- the orange doesn't clash with your colors. If you are able, you could even come around to incorporating it into your decor is small ways in other areas.

The pp's have given you your answers. You can't book a venue with over height walls in a color you don't like, then get rid of that color without a huge budget. Draping, wall paper, and paint are your only options and due to budget none of them may be possible.

Have you done a search for other weddings hosted in that venue? You might get a better idea of how it will look at night. Other than that, don't use that wall for your most important shots, e.g. not a backdrop for the sweetheart or head table.

This is SUCH a cool venue! I repeat, just play up all the incredible parts and try not to do anything to unnecessarily focus attention on the orange, and people are only going to notice the view and the overall vibe. There are so many cool industrial features.... If weather cooperates, do you get to roll up that patio door? OMG -- THAT patio/view/etc. are your focus -- as a guest that is ALL I would remember and be talking about afterward! Good luck! Smiley heart

I would stream balloons like this with some white from the ground up to blend the colors in together. Then the orange will seem faintly blended in which would look nice.
