How to Eliminate paper Rsvp’s (food Choice)

Crystal, on April 16, 2022 at 10:40 AM Posted in Planning 3 7

So…I’ve started looking into invitations and stationery. I’ve got a good idea of what I want to do and started mapping everything out (inventory and costs).

Initially, I didn’t want to do paper invitations and I wanted to do everything online. However, I’ve noticed that most people don’t go to the website. But more importantly, I was trying to figure out how to have people rsvp online…but also add their food choice??? That’s my current issue. I want to eliminate the paper rsvp altogether, unfortunately, that also comes with the food option. I’m currently using Zola for my wedding website and RSVP choice?
Anyone have suggestions on how I can accomplish rsvp’ing online and eliminating having to include rsvp cards but still have guests turn in food choices (online)?

We had the same idea. We did paper invitations, but to keep the cost down, we only bought a few paper response cards and had about 90% so online RSVP on The Knot. I know you’re already on Zola, but I would definitely recommend The Knot because I saw options to customize the online RSVP where you can add a question about their food choice. We didn’t use that because we are having a set buffet, but I was impressed The Knot had that capability!

Thanks for your reply! I actually found out that you can add food options and a bunch of other stuff. I just don’t know how to delete this post 😓

While online online only invites are popular, they aren’t feasible for everyone and they will isolate guests who don’t have access to the information. If price is the concern, take a look at annsbridalbargains.com or Costco.com which sells inexpensive invites. You can have guests reply via paper/text/phone/email/word of mouth at their convenience.

WW doesn’t delete posts because all information is relevant whether the person reading is currently planning or will come across the post in the future.

To add to the above post, rsvpify.com allows guests to rsvp and list meal choices. Withjoy.com has that option too. They can both be added to a details/reply card in your paper invites.

Create a scan code for your website using “qr code app” it’s free; and list it at the bottom of your invitation leading straight to your rsvp page on your website; I made my website on withjoy.com and it allows me to list each guest so when they rsvp it checks off how many confirmed, denied, and it also calculated how many invitations I needed to create since it allowed me to group my guests per household; this eliminates any mailing back or extra paper and the computer counts all of the guest for you and allows them to choose their meal when rsvping.
