How to get 2- 2 year olds down the aisle

Megan, on July 11, 2018 at 6:13 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4

In my wedding, my 2 nephews (one who will have just turned 2, and the other who will be 2 years old within the next 2 months after my wedding) are my ring bearers. We have asked 2 uncles to accompany them down the aisle as we figure it would be hard to get them to just walk down the aisle (one can be painfully shy).

What have you done to get your little ones down the aisle; carried down, wagon, walked themselves, etc.?

I had just started thinking about a wagon and having them hang out in the wagon on the way down the aisle in case the one who's shy doesn't even want to be carried by an uncle.

(there is even a chance 1 uncle will be deployed during this time, then only 1 uncle has to get 2 little guys down the aisle)

I had a 2yo flower girl who didn't even speak English last week! (family from out of the country). As long as they know someone in the wedding party, and are able to make it to the rehearsal, it shouldn't be hard at all for them to walk by themselves!! Especially if their parents are supportive and willing to talk to them about what they need to do beforehand. Best wishes!

My boys will be 2 and 3 by our wedding. We were thinking about having my younger brother who is 8 be a junior groomsman and just pull the boys in a wagon to the altar and then have him take his place with the rest of the guys.

Whatever you do, make sure the wedding cake is not in their view! 😂😂😂
My 3yr old nephee was my flower boy and he was SO excited to be allowed to throw petals and practiced all day....but then for whatever reason they placed the cake near the aisle and as soon as he saw it he completely forgot sbout his little job and just wanted cake! Lol was still cute, but ended up being 0 petals lolololol 🤦💁

Commenting to follow! My flower girl and crown bearer nephew will both be just turning 2 by our wedding and I'm trying to figure out how to make sure they get down the aisle. My brother and SIL will already be on the altar (in the bridal party and parents of the nephew) will already be on the altar and I'm hoping they can just catch their eye and wave them forward. Thinking if they get distracted or don't make it-- it's not a huge deal. I think those are the most adorable moments in a wedding anyway!
