How to hide an ugly wall

Mrs.hays, on August 21, 2017 at 12:54 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 2

I am having my ceremony and reception at my church. The downstairs has a perfect reception area that is complete with a kitchen and all the tables and chairs that I will need. However, there is a really ugly mural on one of the walls that I would like to cover up. The mural is an under the sea theme which does not mesh well with my spring wedding. I was thinking about covering the wall with some satin material. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this?

You can always use old doors and drape the satin material. I'm using four doors to cover up an area that doesn't go well with my venue. I'm going to drape flowers and greenery.

This would be the perfect spot for an open air photobooth. Put up your stands and a pole, hang the backdrop and be done. What's left of the wall showing will go unnoticed.

IMO, if you hang fabric over it and do nothing else, it will only draw more attention to the fact that you are hiding it.
