Chantel, on July 10, 2023 at 8:33 AM Posted in Planning 0 4
I have one biological son who is 18 , and 2 step sons one is 28 and one who is 27, my husband and myself are having a vow renewal. I want to incorporate all three of the kids . Besides sand ceremony are there any other ideas. Also have a 7 year old grand son.

The three sons could be your husband’s groomsmen

Nope, not at all! But another option could be to have your husband's 2 boys walk down the aisle with him and stand on his side, then your bio son walk you down the aisle and stand on your side.

My fiancé has a grown daughter, and our officiant is taking a (brief) moment to acknowledge her during the ceremony so she still feels like she’s a part of things. If she were younger, my officiant was going to do a “pinky promise vow” similar to the actual vows but with promises suitable for young kids. So you can find a place to incorporate your sons into the ceremony that is appropriate for their ages.
