So i have a guy best friend, and i want to include him in the wedding ceremony. He is an awesome guy and means so much so me so not including him would really suck. I'm at a loss.

My straight male best friend is my Man of Honor. He said yes to me before I even finished asking him. We're so very close and have been through so much that I couldn't imagine marrying the love of my life without my best friend standing beside me.

This has become so common today but if he's worried about "looking gay" and not comfortable with standing beside you, then you can't change that. He could be your day of wedding coordinator instead. Meaning that he can help you get ready and field any issues from vendors, help you coordinate anything there, help with getting the gifts back to your place. There are a ton of things he can do to help make your day special.

It's acceptable to have male bridesmaids these days. In fact, I was a groomsmaid in my friend J's wedding a couple of years ago. While I was friends with both of them, I was more than happy to hang with the guys as there were way too many girls at this point.

Now that it's my turn we're running into the same issue but we have too many guys. I've already asked his now wife to be a bridesmaid. He joked that "he saw how it was", but was fine with being left out once I explained why. All asked was for some cake to make up for it.
