How to include stepparents when both parents walk bride down aisle?

Madi, on March 14, 2021 at 10:20 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3

Basically what the title says - I like the idea of having both my mom and dad walk me down the aisle. However, they are each re-married. I think it would be weird to have my stepmother and stepfather walk together, should they walk independently? Or should we allow them to choose someone to walk with them? We are not having a wedding party stand up at the alter with us.

Any advice would be appreciated Smiley heart

Hi Madi! Grandchildren, grandparents, or even a close cousin may be nice to be their escort ❤️

I'd let them each choose someone to walk with!

My dad walked me down the aisle so my mom had my brother be her escort during the seating of the families. My father-in-law was my husband's best man, so one of our ushers (a close family friend of theirs) escorted my mother-in-law down the aisle! Smiley heart

1st thing: ask them.! They might want to be seated before the procession starts, if they don't like to get any attention.

They might want to walk alone or with anyone. The only don't : dn'tmake them feel uncomfortable by pressuring them to do something they dislike.
