You can also hire a wedding planner who may also find and recommend venues. If you can have that help, that reduces the planning work on your part.

Start with budget first. That will determine your venue/guest #'s. Then book your venue with your preliminary guest list. If you're not sure what amount of money you'll need to host the number of guests you have, there are budget calculators online.
