How to keep a dry wedding exciting and fun

Jess, on August 2, 2019 at 10:47 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 10
Hi there. My fiancé and i don’t drink for personal reasons and i know that that’s normally a big thing for weddings and what can sometimes encourage more dancing and partying. Any ideas how to have a dry wedding and keep the party and fun going?

I'm having a dry wedding too!
Some people do games, board games, interactive crowd games, murder mystery.
A good DJ will get everyone on the dance floor.

I would say a great DJ can make that happen!

I like Kelly's suggestion ! I had a game table at mine where people can bring back some card or board games to their table. I had alcohol though but it's just another added feature. Interactive crowd games would also be fun.

Things like yard games, photo booth, caricature artist, interactive food or dessert table, etc. can all help! In my experience, people don't do a ton of dancing if there isn't any alcohol but that depends group by group. A good DJ will for sure help with that.

If you, your husband, your bridal party, and closest family members (moms dads siblings) are out dancing and having a good time, others will be more likely to party it up! It's all about the vibe you give off

Another dry wedding-er here. We're just making a really fun playlist to get everyone dancing. I wouldn't worry too much about it. As long as you have a variety of drinks for people to have, it's just not a big deal. We're doing punch, lemonade, iced tea, and a coffee bar!

I agree with this 100%. Just consult with your wedding party and ask them to help you keep the party vibe going!

We are having a dry wedding thought it possible some people might bring their own drinks. I wouldn't worry too much about it depending on your family and friends group people really should know how to have a good time without having alcohol. But to answer your question we are having dancing and board games and card games and wedding trivia game and a pumpkin carving contest. That should keep folks occupied. In top of the food and speeches.
