How to keep tights/spanx from moving?

Nelly, on April 23, 2018 at 5:32 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

Hello all!

So I'm definitely wearing nylons or spanx underneath my dress. My only problem is tights tend to fall down on me and spanx tend to ride up which makes my thighs rub together which defeats the purpose of wearing them. I get "chub rub" and my thighs start to chafe after being in a skirt/dress without something underneath. Especially because I have a summer wedding!

What do you guys do to keep tights or spanx from moving?

As a gal with thick thighs, using deodorant has been a lifesaver!! I apply it on my thighs where I would normally chafe and it makes my life sooooo much better!! how long is your dress? If it's floor length, you may want to wear the spanx higher power capri. It comes up just under your bra and goes past your knees so it should stay put. There is a caveat though: going to the bathroom will be much harder!

Monistat makes an antichaffing gel that works miracles on the chub rub. If your only wearong spanks becaise of that id say skip the spanks and the sweat and give this a try it is a clear gel and works

As a girl with thunder thighs myself, body glide has been a life saver. The monistat anti-chafing worked well while in Disney, but I found it wore off within an hour or two max. Body glide has been a savior!

Thank you all! My dress is a little bit above the knee so the higher power capris won't work, but I'll definitely look into the anti chaffing gels!!

Not entirely the same thing, but hairspray works wonders with tights (this is the trick I used throughout my time as a dancer in middle/high school)! Maybe give that a try?

Pardonnthe potentially dumb question but do you spray your legs with hairspray before or after pulling your tights on?

I usually just wear a pair of boyshorts over my tights to keep them up.
