How to make this centerpiece (suspended pearls in vases)?

I'm not sure what they used for suspending the the pearls... candle gel? I don't think they are water beads either. Any ideas?

They are in a gel liquid I believe that is why they give the illusion of floating .. i believe it is called a water gel
