How to Make Your Wedding Ceremony Unique and Memorable?

We didn’t do anything unusual in the ceremony, but we made it personal with the choice of pieces for our readings and by writing our own vows. One of our readings was called “Love is Like Owning a Dog” and both our vows referenced our dog, so that made it very much ours.

The bride had been stressing before the ceremony that the person in charge of music was running late, and a groomsmaid who sang and I assured her that if nothing else, we could sing her down. She had just started down the aisle when the music person hit the wrong button and forwarded to the next song. Groomsmaid and I glanced at each other and immediately picked up from where it left off. As bride kept walking, friends in the audience picked it up (Disney’s “Beauty & the Beast”), and by the time she reached the end of the aisle, everyone was singing. It’s one of my favorite wedding memories! And several people who were there said they’d thought it was planned when I talked about it later.

Omg! You're brave for going vocals only in front of everyone haha.

We aren't doing anything crazy unique for our ceremony. We wrote our own vows and are doing a planting unity ceremony. In our circles, pretty much everyone does the repeat after me vows and either a unity candle or unity knot, so I guess what we're doing is unique to our circle

View Quoted Comment At this point, we have zero music planned for the ceremony lol. It's outdoors with not much of a processional so I just never planned anything 🤷‍♀️

We did not do anything unusual by our wedding was definitely hilarious. Between my cousin be the officiant, our responses and my husband couldn’t wait to kiss me was funny. Our guests was cracking up. Our wedding was funny and everyone had a good time.
