How to not be an annoying Bride...

Morgan, on May 20, 2019 at 4:27 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 10

Hey guys,

I've asked a few of my friends this but I haven't gotten a solid answer. A potential hair and make-up lady (who is amazing) I reached out to last week about her services. She read my message and then never got back to me. I know it's Prom season so I figured she was super busy. She posted on her FB page yesterday saying she was super busy and would get back to everyone last night. I still haven't heard from her.

I am really interested in her work, but also don't want to be a pest - trying to start out on the right foot here. What are your options as to how I should go about addressing this - should I wait a little longer, should I send her another message.

I just don't want to be a pest, or annoying, and I really don't know what to do.

Since your wedding is so far away, she probably prioritized you last to get back to. I would just wait a few weeks / month before reaching back.

You have plenty of time. I would just relax and let her get back to you in her own time. If you only reached out for the first time last week, that's no reason to push the panic button. Like you said, it's prom season, prime wedding season is just about here, and it's a holiday weekend coming up. She's probably got her hands full and is getting back to those with the more urgent dates. Relax, I'm sure she'll respond Smiley smile

Does she have an email or phone number you can reach out to instead of facebook?

She has an email posted on her facebook, I thought about reaching out on there but again didn't want to be *that* bride that reaches out on multiple platforms.

I'd maybe wait one more week, and just email her. Then if you don't hear back in another week, I'd move on.

For a minute I really forgot about other brides reaching out for sooner dates, I will take a breather and wait for her to respond. I think I was mainly concerned because I wanted to talk about engagement photos - hair and makeup and didn't want to lose the spot but I also didn't mention that in my OG message to her. I appreciate the input and thanks for making me a little more level-headed! Smiley smile

She may have read it, and forgot to reply. You can give her a week, try again. It will remind her she hasn't replied yet.
