How to release the custom domain purchased from Wedding Wire?

Hello! So I bought the custom domain from wedding wire through the website builder, but I have decided to go a different route with the website. I already printed our save the dates with the domain on them, so I need to get that domain back. Is there any way to release the domain name so that I could buy it again from godaddy? Thanks!

    Hey there—I’m looking to do the same thing but I’ve seen several posts from other people saying that WW is unable to release the domain due to limitations or something like that... can you please share how you were able to get them to release your domain. Thanks!!

    Hi, so unfortunately I never was. I contacted customer service and they said that I couldn't. So what I did was I created my website through the other program like how I had wanted, and then on my wedding wire website, I just made one page that said "Welcome, please click here to enter our wedding website", with the link to the website that I created. That way, people can still type in the domain name but then immediately get redirected to the website that I made.
