How to say no registry

Kristen, on January 19, 2020 at 3:25 PM Posted in Registry 0 3
Hello everyone I had a question about no registry, so my fiance and I have been together for 3 years and we've been living together for 2 years and we have everything that we need. He is in the army so of course we can't have big item things that will go with the house because we move around a lot I just don't know how to say there is no registry for the wedding. I dont want one for a couple of reasons: one we live in Colorado and we're getting married in California so we dont want a lot to bring back on the plane. Two: we have everything we want and we dont want a whole lot of stuff to move around with. I just don't want to sound rude or tacky just asking for money because we dont have a registry. How can I word this in a nice classy way?

“We don’t have a registry.” There’s nothing rude or tacky about answering a question.

I agree with PP. That’s what we did and it was fine.

If for some odd reason someone does push back, I'd think it's reasonable to explain those reasons. Being a military couple should be a super understandable reason for not wanting stuff.
