Hello, feeling overwhelmed with planning everything. How do I start a honeymoon fund? What wording to use on the invitations?

Anything helps, Thanks

You can google “honeymoon fund” and find tons of sites that offer them. They do all take a portion of the gifts for their profit, so keep that in mind. Honeymoon funds, registries, and gifts in general
should never be mentioned on invitations.

You definitely don't mention gifts of any kind on the invitations. And there is no reason to have a honeymoon fund. If you don't register, people will give you cash or checks. If you register for a honeymoon fund, you will get less, because the fund will take part of the cash for their profit. So you're better off not having a honeymoon fund.

We are going on a cruise for our wedding and royal Caribbean has a registry. We just put a registry card that states we are registered there as opposed to a bed bath and beyond or something.

Welcome to the WeddingWire community Candace! Other than starting to plan your registry, what else are you working on for your wedding at the minute?

As the pps mentioned, I would definitely do your research with honeymoon fund companies. Couples tend not to receive the full amount of money given by guests as a percentage is taken as payment by the company.

By not making a registry, you can almost be sure that your guests will give you cash for your wedding gifts. You could also tell your parents and other close family members/ friends to spread this by word of mouth, should any guest ask them what to gift you.

I wouldn’t mention gift-giving on your invitations as you are merely asking your guests to come and celebrate with you with an invitation.

Do you know where you would like to go for your honeymoon?

I wouldn't. I just wouldn't register at all, skip a bridal or couples shower, and people will gift cash at the wedding. Then plan your honeymoon after the wedding when you know what your budget is.
