How to store diy centerpieces?

Heather, on July 8, 2019 at 1:55 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 14
I’m so excited I finished making my diy centerpieces and I love them! But then I just realized I have no idea how to store them safely/ without them getting all squished or breaking without taking up too much space for when we have to bring them to the venue. Any tips or advice?

I don't have any advice for you, I just saw this and this is exactly why I have been putting off doing mine! Lol! I have no where to store anything and I am worried about having them break or get messed up.

Can you put them in a plastic bin and use spacers that are used for ornaments? I’d think that would keep them far enough apart so the flowers won’t get tangled. If they don’t fit tightly enough maybe shove some paper towels around them? You’re center pieces are very pretty btw!

I put some of mine in plastic bins - some of them ended up putting in a box and put a towel over them so they didn't get any dust of anything on them.

Were storing ours in FILs spare room. But FH recently brought this to my attention.... cover the flowers with a grocery bag or something of the sort because the 2 weeks ours was on our counter i couldn't believe the amount of dust the petals collected. Just a tip!

We’re storing ours in Rubbermaid containers with the glass vases wrapped in paper. If you want to keep the flowers in tact, in would recommend stuffing newspaper in between the vases to keep them sturdy.
If not, placing a couple bouquets in a plastic bag and hanging them up on a hanger should work.

Very pretty! I've been slowly working on putting mine together every time I'm at my parent's house. (I have two cats who get into EVERYTHING.) I've been storing my in totes. I'm definitely gonna have to fluff them when we decorate them, but it was the best thing I could think of to keep them safe.

Haha I can definitely understand that! With how much stuff we’re going to have to bring (all diy stuff) it’s gonna look like we’re moving in! Haha Smiley smile

I'm having the same issue and mine are lanterns Smiley sad

Someone recommended to me to go buy big rubbermaid containers and then cut up cardboard boxes to use as barriers between them, so i'm going to try that!

I'm using two cardboard boxes for my bouquets. I found two that were the same size so that the first fit tightly into the second...cut holes in the top box for the stems to fit through and dangle into the second box...then I can close up the top lid flaps. For your centerpieces I think a rubber container like mentioned above might be easy though.

I got liquor boxes that still had the inserts to separate them in the box. Worked perfectly

I have mine in a plastic storage bin with a lid so they don't get dusty! I will be storing them in our guest room closet when I am done making them until the time of the wedding.
