How to tell guests about our website?

No , on May 3, 2018 at 12:09 PM Posted in Planning 0 14

So we foolishly didn't put it on our save the dates, mainly because I wasn't even aware that websites were a big thing. Now I realize we probably should have one so our guests have info on travel and whatnot. I have no idea how to inform them of our website though? I know a lot of people say don't put it on the invite (which is totally fine), but then where should it go? Or did I just miss my chance lol

Thanks!

Is someone throwing you a shower? It could go on that invite if you're adding your registry information on there.

We put it on our details card insert for our Invite since all our travel and accommodations information is on our website we just wrote

For travel and accommodations please visit Website X

I think its fine to add it to the details card

On our details card we put "for additional info regarding the event, please visit our website:........"

For people traveling, I might inform them via word of mouth about any hotel blocks or anything like that so they have enough time to book flights or otherwise arrange for their accommodations. I have people asking about my hotel block and my wedding is still a year away.

But definitely put the website on the details card or shower invite if you are having one, as PP said.

I wasn't sure either so I just made a FB group lol. Anytime someone has a wedding site I always forget where to find it. We are having a pretty small DW though so I wanted to be able to update people quickly if there was a sale on flights or hotels and people can see who else is going and try to make plans with each other since we won't be having a bunch of activities outside of the wedding

I did put mine on the back of the invite (people will say don't do that...but it worked really well for me for a number of reasons). You could include it on the details card of you invite (if you have one). You could also email a link to friends/family.....

I'm putting it on our invitations! I haven't decided how, but either at the bottom it will say "for more information, please visit our wedding website at XXXXXXX.com" or I'll include an additional card in the invitation with hotel/flight information and list the wedding website there. I've always seen it listed on invites, if not Save the Dates!

I had only planned to include website information with the invitations. I intend to have details about the wedding located on the site protected with a code that will only be extended to guests that rsvp in the affirmative. Suffice it to say, I imagine including a note about your website in your invitations should be adequate.

There's nothing wrong with putting your wedding website address on an insert with your wedding invitation. We also put it on the bottom of our "details" card and said something like, "For additional information, please visit our website _________."

I'm close with eveyone I invited, so I just shared it via fb messenger- I don't think there is really etiquette for a website

It's fine to put your wedding website on your invitations Smiley smile I did for our travel and accommodations and then people could find our registry on there as well.. The thing to avoid is mentioning your registry on the invitations. If people want it, they can find the information, or if they're invited to a shower, it can be shared that way.
