How to word accept/decline on rsvp card?

No , on May 18, 2018 at 12:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 20

I've been looking at a lot of rsvp card wording, but I can't seem to find anything I like. Most of what I'm seeing says accepts with pleasure (which is nice) and declines with regret (which I don't care for). I kind of wanted to put something like Enchanted to come (our wedding is like a dark enchanted forest feel/look) but I don't know what to put for the decline part. Any thoughts? It def. doesn't have to say enchanted, just looking for something a little different not just will attend.

Perhaps you could replace "with regrets" to something like "in spirit" or "from afar"? The language may be a bit more positive. Best of luck!

I've seen some RSVP cards for the decline part just say "Celebrating from afar" or some rendition of that. Or just simply "unable to attend" can work. Or another one "Will be thinking of you from home" or "Have fun without us"
Just throwing out some ideas for you! Smiley smile

I like "will be celebrating from afar" for denying the RSVP. I think it sounds happy still!

I like Muriel's wording of "Looking forward to an enchanted evening" - the "enchanted to come" sounds a little clunky or off in some way ... if you wanted to keep that format, maybe "enchanted to attend" reads a little more elegant for some reason to me.

I do like that better, enchanted to attend.

    We did:

    "Joyfully accepts" and "Respectfully declines"

I also LOVE your enchanted wording! So unique!

I like it - but I'd say "enchanted to attend" just sounds a little better IMO Smiley smile

Love enchanted to attend! It has a wonderful role off the tongue feeling.

I wish you could do something with disenchanted to not attend. But thats not very positive....

Ugh I know, that would perfect. Agreed though, a bit too negative.

We used “delighted to attend” and “will be there in spirit”. Although I love your use of the word enchanted!

We put something like "will be there to celebrate"

    "sad to miss it"

I honestly don't remember without going to look

we thought about putting "Will be there in spirit" but we didn't want people to think it meant they were coming. We wanted it to as CRYSTAL CLEAR as possible. So think about that too, making sure folks can tell what is yes/no at first glance
