How to word mandatory vaccines?

mrswinteriscoming, on August 29, 2021 at 4:32 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2
I’m in Australia where the Delta variant has sent the country spiraling and we have found ourselves in the middle of a 3 month lockdown.

Our government is very slowly planning to go back to normalcy once the majority of our population is fully vaccinated, at least for those who are fully vaccinated.
Of our 45 guests (downsized already from 150+) most of them will be fully vaccinated before our wedding but in line with the government’s likely mandates, we anticipate that only fully vaccinated adults will be allowed to attend and it is something we are totally on board with.
What I’m wondering:1. On our ‘Details’ card, what should we write about being vaccinated (no website)? I’m thinking something along the lines of “In accordance with government mandates, all guests are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 coronavirus prior to the wedding”.
2. How do we actually have guests prove this? Has anyone needed to have guests verify their vaccination status for whatever reason?

If it actually gets mandated by the government, id expect that your venue would need to enforce it?
Maybe they can handle all of the asking for vaccine proof?

I think your wording is perfect, and including it on a details card is a wise idea. That way, guests are fully aware with plenty of advance notice that they will need to be vaccinated in order to attend.
As far as proving your vaccination status, I’m not sure how Australia is handling it, but here in the US you receive a vaccination card. These cards are what most businesses are requiring in order to show proof of vaccination.
