How to word this....

Maltese, on February 14, 2015 at 10:45 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 11

So my mom asked me suggestions as to how to cutely word this on the invitation for my shower but I'm drawing a blank....similar to bringing a pack of diapers to a baby shower for a raffle, she wants to do one with kitchen utensils/gadgets. Basically bring a spatula, slotted spoon, garlic press, ECT and you're put into a raffle (each guest is given a ticket and winners get a door prize). I told her Id see if I can think of something but I'm out of ideas....she's looking for short and cutesy but I can't think of anything and neither can my BMs!

Help!!!!! :-)

You can probably google search for kitchen themed wishing well ideas

Edited: I have been to a ton of bring a spice, bring a recipe/ingredient, bring diapers, bring a book, bring change for babys piggy bank, etc showers and since I'm having a Happy Hour Bridal Shower I thought it would be fun to have a cocktail themed "bring a" (wine charm, bottle stopper, margarita salt etc) but it's not happening bc MOH doesn't like the idea lol. When she has her babies, and I'm throwing a shower I'm for sure vetoing the Start Baby's Library hahaha

Bring a kitchen gadget to simplify the couple's lives and in exchange you get a chance to win a prize.

    Ugh. Lol

I wouldn't say "pots, pans and mixers" - those are large items not gadgets.

A wire whisk, some spoons to measure,

those kitchen gadgets that we treasure,

if you bring one for the bride,

you might win a special prize.

I like Centerpiece's idea. That way people don't feel like they need to bring a pans and larger items.

My pleasure. I never underestimate the value of a kitchen gadget. The right tool for the job makes it so much easier -- even if you use the gadget twice a year. Have a great shower.
