How will you carry your vows during your ceremony?

Jo, on March 15, 2018 at 8:02 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 19

Don't get caught unprepared! There are a few things many couples forget to consider when planning their ceremony, and we want to help make sure they don't slip past you!

If you have vows that you'll be reading during you ceremony, where will you store them until you need them?

Good luck hiding that book as you walk down the aisle! How will you carry your vows during your ceremony? 1

The next question is to ensure you're prepared for those totally emotional moments

Hopefully I won't need to. I m trying to convince my FH not to write our own vows.

We tried writing our own vows and had password locked word documents. Our vows were horrible so we didn't have to hide them.

Our plan was to buy those silly little "locked" diaries (yes, just like the ones from when we were kids) and covering them in pretty contact paper.

I'm writing mine on cue cards (and numbering them in case they get mixed up. Our officiant has us give them to her prior to the ceremony and then she ensures we have them at the proper moment.

I bought cute vow books that we will exchange after the wedding. I plan on having the officiant carry them, and hand them to us when it is time for us to say our vows.

We used vow booklets, our first names printed on them. The booklets were on the table with the ring dish

Oh we didn't carry them, the DOC placed our booklets on the table before the ceremony began.

Our officiant had both of our vows and he handed them to us when it was time.

Hmmmm I hadn’t thought of this yet... I won’t have pockets but maybe I can have my officiant hold them for me.

We are assisting our officiant (my brother in law) in writing our entire ceremony, so he will have everything! We will be reciting the same vows, but he will have the written copy and we will just have to repeat Smiley smile

I wouldn't advise having the officiant be responsible for vows-my brother and his wife left it up to their officiant, at her insistence, to bring their vows to their wedding. Not only was the officiant late to the wedding, she also didn't bring the vows, nor the ceremony script. Do not leave vows for the officiant

Our officiant will have them! We wrote our own, but will still be doing the whole "Repeat after me..." thing.

We didn't write our own vows. We worked with the minister and agreed on some traditional vows. He held them during the ceremony and we just repeated them back to him.
