How’d you know?

We toured 3 venues... and contacted a million. Okay maybe closer to 24. But it seemed like a million.


How did we know it was the one?1) we contacted a ton of venues and had a ton of no answers and back and forth - had a ton of stress in those 2) first venue we toured had touted all these amazing changes they were doing and would be done by March. We toured in March, none of these changes had begun, and they told us they were nixing them. I almost cried.3) second venue - drove out of our way to look at it, told us they weren't sure, they might have it booked that weekend, basically had us drive out for no reason, never called us4) The One. Coordinator answered our emails promptly. (Like within 2 or 3 days.) Was nice. We walked in, felt relaxed. And we threw some real strange questions at her and she was super happy to answer every question thoroughly. It was calming, made us feel like she wanted us there. First time in venue searching I didn't feel like crying. Went to dinner and discussed that we both liked it. We emailed her that night to get things going.

We toured 5- but had appointments for 3 others.


We picked the venue because it was in budget, the owners remembered previous brides, and for the budget and the look we were going for. We loved the reception room the most and felt it was the best fit. I knew it was the one when I stepped foot- I just got the butterflies. Also when we toured, they treated us so kind and genuine- not like they were trying to sell us a venue.
