How’s the wedding planning going?

I keep getting this question from people I know (sorry, but aren’t invited to the wedding) and my mother, who’s helping me plan the wedding. I feel like I’m behind? I can’t concretely answer some of the questions but I have some general ideas/concepts. We will be having a vintage New Orleans-styled wedding (in Indianapolis) in June 2020. We are planning to spend only $11K for the 55 person guest list.
I have checklists from this app and my day-of coordinator, and I am up to date with all the checklists items. Does anyone else feel lost or guilty when this question is asked? Any tips for feeling more prepared or any ideas are greatly appreciated! I have attached a few inspiration photos.

I think it's ok to feel like you should have more done than you do. When I was wedding planning I always felt like my list was so long or that I was not accomplishing enough to shorten it aha. In reality I'm sure I was doing fine but I was just thinking I should be where I'm not and i think that type of mentality makes you feel like you're falling short. just remember that whatever pace you're going at, it's moreso about getting the items accomplished.

Whenever I'm asked how the planning is going, I think about the penguins from Madagascar and just smile and wave. I'm a few months out and I still don't have everything figured out, but I'm taking it one day at a time!

I love your inspiration and venue pictures! I felt on top of everything at the beginning once we booked the major vendors. I go from "Holy crap, there is so much left to do!" to "I totally have this". Right now I am in the final weeks and going over every single detail on a loop in my brain.
