Husband gift help!

Sara, on March 24, 2021 at 1:42 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 14
I originally didn't think we would give gifts to each other. But he last minute took me to our jewelers and had a few pairs of earrings for me to pick from as my wedding gift. I picked out a pair because I do not own any real earrings. But now I need to get him something. I was going to get a personalized lapel pin of his grandpa who passed last year. But then he told me that he is not wanting to wear a jacket, just the vest, shirt, pants, tie ect. Just no jacket. So now I can't do a lapel pin. I can't do a watch, his parents gifted him one for Christmas that was $$$$$ so nothing I get will ever come close. I don't want a gag gift he does not think they are funny, also he spent $600 on these earrings so I want something decently priced. I can't do alcohol of any kind because he doesn't really drink. He also has a woodworking hobby but the things he still needs are in the thousands. I just don't know what to get, even though he says he doesn't need anything. I feel very guilty not doing something.

You could get him a wallet engraved with a message from you and/or a cute quote! Search on Etsy for some ideas of what he might like. You could also still get him the personalized lapel pin, it doesn't have to be something that he'll use on the wedding day.

He has this super expensive swiss wallet that I know he will never ever not use. It also has a lifetime warranty and he sends it off to Switzerland every two years for maintenance. It's ridiculous lol. Honestly the best gift I could ever get would be a playstation 5. He wants one so bad but they are impossible to get!

What about a custom or personalized drawing/sketch book for his woodworking hobby?

Exchanging vows and rings. Don't feel the need to gift anything extra on top of that.

In addition to a personalized decanter (which may not work for your FH if he doesn't drink), I also bought him a personalized iron-on tie patch from Etsy that went inside his tie on the diamond at the bottom. It said something like "Wolfe, our forever starts today. Love, Sharonda" and it had our wedding date. If he likes cigars, I'd also look into a personalized humidor.

Or, just google "husband/groom wedding gifts" for lots of lists with ideas. Hopefully, you'll be able to find something that will work.

You could do a personalized wallet and something else he really likes. Like for my guy i got him a wallet, a personalized beer mug, and some fishing/hunting stuff, But he likes all that stuff. (my wedding got pushed back was supposed to be married last year but now getting married in 2022 so we have a little more freedom.)

He could still wear the pin on his vest or on his shirt! If that's something you really want to get him, and it would mean a lot to him, then I don't see why you can't keep that as his gift!

You could always do something relating to any hobbies he has! Even if what he needs is expensive, you could maybe get upgrades of what he does have? I don't know much about woodworking, so idk if he would wear a work apron with it or not, but I know I've seen really nice leather and work grade aprons on there! My FH loves to golf, so I'm having one of his friends come with me to pick out a new driver for him since I know nothing about golf clubs lol.

I think I finally figured it out, I can't believe I didn't think of it before. One of our friends is a blacksmith, so I am going to have him make a custom knife. I can't believe I didn't think of it before! But all these suggestions were good!

I purchased my fiancé Disney cufflinks and I am adding a Epcot portrait session since that is one of our favorites parks .
Etsy has a ton of cute cufflinks and some can even be personalized or engraved with your wedding date
