Hydranga and mason jars? Flowers?

I am wanting to do something with these two things for a centerpiece. Any pics or suggestions? Theme is country rustic. Also, any ideas for Hydranga flowers for bm's?

Just to add more to the bunch since I love this idea... here are a couple shots from our wedding with hydrangeas, mason jars, lanterns and tea lights.

That is true Partly Cloudy, there is a flower spray that can be used on pretty much any white flower to turn it whatever color you like. It comes in practically every color you can think of and you can mix colors together to create new colors. It is wonderful and if done correctly can really look natural.

Thank you everyone for the wonderful ideas. I am now considering the lanterns and small jars with tea lights!

I am doing baby's breath, with lemons in mason jars with blue ribbon (my colors are blue and yellow). Here is my inspiration pic:

If you're using mason jars, then there is a really good picture floating around Pinterest where people have put rubber bands around mason jars, and then spray painted the jars and taken the bands off to create like a design on the jar (it classes it up). I would spray paint the jar and then use the natural color of the flower. Flowers come in a gorgeous array of colors--naturally. Your bound to find a color and flower you enjoy without having to resort to spray painting the flower.

If you did red/blue jars, with white hydrangea, it would be a sweet Americana feel to the centerpieces which would tie in well to your country inspired overall theme

It does work! I had my floral designer paint my white hydrangea flowers with brushes of black for a vintage themed wedding I did back in 2010 & it looked awesome! She did such an awesome job at filling up my cylinder vases with a really unique look, submerging flowers inside of water with a floating candle on top and then filling a taller vase with Hydrangea. I paid $650.00 for all of my bridesmaids bouquets (mainly consisting of Hydrangea and Roses), my bouquet, my grooms and his guys boot-in-ears, plus 10 really pretty centerpieces for our reception area. Everything was gorgeous and came under our starting point budget of $800, which was my first quote from another florist in town, who I almost worked with but got tired of her not returning my emails.
