My mom's a florist. She told me not to have hydrangeas at all, even in the bridal bouquets. They don't last long outside water. It's a shame because they're so pretty!!!

Not very long. Hydrangea are a bit of a high maintenance flower. You can try water picks, but if it's hot they may still wilt.

My flowers are going to hydrangeas and roses. My florist never said anything about being high maintenance and I am sure he knows what he's doing. I can let you know in about 10 days Smiley smile

Shit. Im using hydrangeas for the bridesmaids bouquets. Lol too late now! Our wedding is short so hopefully there won't be any issues with the flowers

@baran you should be fine because the bouquets can be put together then the bouquets can be put in a vase with some water before its time to use them. For an arch they will have to make it at least a day ahead of time and hydrangea won't be able to be out of water for a day or more.

That's a relief!! What flowers would be good to use for an arch? Or would mainly greenery be the best option?

I have hydrangeas in my bouquet but that's only to make it more full. I hope it comes out the way the florist showed me
