I can't find my vendor on the WeddingWire search!

Christina, on August 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

I tried searching for the vendor that I plan to use for my rehearsal dinner on the Wedding Wire search multiple times and it can never be found. How can I add my vendor to my list? The vendor is a restaurant by the way.

They might not have a listing here. Did you try to find them on Google?

Thank you for the response! I can always find it on google but I was just hoping to be able to have it on my profile on WeddingWire with all my other vendors. I guess I will just have to accept that I can't with this one. lol

Ask your vendor to create a listing here (it's free -- unless they choose paid advertising).

Yeah I think the vendors have to post their business to the WW directory specifically to appear in the search results here.

In my experience, rehearsal dinner places aren't as likely to be on here as other types of vendors like photographers, DJs, reception venues, etc. Particularly if it's a restaurant like you say, their primary business isn't wedding-related, so they're not particularly likely to list themselves on a wedding planning site.

Oh wow thank you for the information! That makes sense. I will definitely look into letting my vendor know. I think it would be beneficial to them as well as future customers.

I added a vendor a while back (before they changed things). I forget how I did it though.

They recently changed it so you can't really add new vendors. The only way is to write a review which you may not do until after your wedding.

Glad you posted this. There are several of my vendors that I can't find on here as well.

Unless your vendor has a listing on WW they will not show up in the search.

I think WWKatie or WWChristina can add a vendor for you.

Not all of them are on here, but I was able to add mine! As long as you know their phone number and/or email address.

It's not free anymore. The starting price for a vendor listing is $350/month after the ww/knot merge. Obviously not worth it for restaurants, and definitely not worth it for most wedding businesses.
