i can't wait to be his wife!

Kara, on May 24, 2018 at 10:45 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 12

I still have a little under a year til our wedding. Every day I spend planning and thinking about wedding stuff. This morning on my drive to work, I was playing the song I'll be walking down the aisle to (A Thousand Years - Piano Guys) and started crying... just picturing all the guests that are there for us, and seeing my FH waiting for me under the arch. I just can't wait to marry him and for our wedding day to be here. If I'm emotional already.. I can't imagine me on the big day haha! Smiley laugh Smiley heart

I've TOTALLY done this. Omg. Also, my BMs are walking down to that song! I'm walking to Say You Won't Let Go covered by Daniel Jang. I cry every time I listen to it.

    Story time lol.

So after I picked the songs, I realized I had an old Spotify playlist that had soft, instrumental songs that I used for studying, and one of them was 1,000 Years by The Piano Guys. So I'm sitting in my car listening to this on the way home, and I suddenly start picturing myself at the top of the stairs, waiting, watching my bridesmaids step away one by one to make their way down the aisle, and then the flower girls, and then my parents, and then for a moment, me, by myself, standing and waiting for the music to change. I just pictured myself all dressed up, holding my bouquet, knowing everyone I love is down waiting for me, my FH standing at the altar looking up at the steps waiting for me to appear, and I started BAWLING in my car. Like full-on ugly crying!

In the next 2 1/2 months I need to start listening to those songs so I'm not walking down the aisle crying my eyes out sniffling, with mascara running down my face!

The other day I asked him what he's most excited for for the wedding, and he usually says all the pictures and selfies and something corny like that, but he looked at me and said "I'm looking forward to looking across the room and seeing you as a beautiful bride." Then he laughed at me when I started crying Smiley xd

I'm so excited to marry him it's not even funny!!!

Awww! I’m having that instrumental version of Say You Won’t Let Go playing while the guests are arriving. Then when the wedding party and parents are walking down the aisle, I’m having Marry Me by Train play, but the instrumental version. Then my song for when I walk down the aisle. I love instrumental versions of songs. I just can’t wair for that day.

It's our song, so I knew I had to have it for a big moment on the day. He sings it to me whenever it comes on the radio, and one day we were cooking in the kitchen and it came on the radio, and he just started dancing with me...ahhhhhh

I love instrumental versions too! They're SO pretty. I love your choices too! Sounds like the day will be incredible Smiley smile

I know how you feel! We're a little under 4 months away and I can't wait! I've been the same way with our music. I got chills during a song that I'm thinking about for my walk down the aisle and when we listened to the song we wanted for our first dance...it felt right. I had a few tears sneak out.

I walked down the aisle to the same version of the song! It was beautiful!

I felt the same way leading up to the wedding. And now I still get all giddy thinking about the fact that he is my husband. Smiley heart Seeing a ring on his hand is one of my favorite parts! I don't know why it makes me so emotional, but it does!
