I can't wait

My FH and I talk about this a lot. We are both super excited for the day to get here, but at the same time we don't want to wish time away. We have been making sure we still date each other. We have dinner and see a movie and don't talk about wedding planning to remind ourselves of the beginning and making sure we stay connected throughout the wedding planning craziness. I think that helps me a lot, but yes I do sometimes I think it feels so far away and will never get here. I'm a little less than 6 months out and I know when the holidays get here there will be a lot going on non-wedding related so I'm savoring this quiet time while it lasts, knowing I'll be panicking in a couple of months.

I've always wanted a 6-8 month engagement period....

Here I am now with a year and 2-3 months.

Sigh.....

@whipppss when I first got engaged I also wanted to start planning right away. We have been dating for 7 years already, but due to financial things we had to wait. So when we were finally ready I was looking for a venue and I fell in love with one that didn't have availability until July which is why we're waiting this long.

I got engaged last September and my wedding is next September. When I got I engaged I felt the 2 year engagement was long and would seem like forever. But now a year has passed and I'm really into the planning and time has and is flying by! It will be here before you know it!!
