i can't wear rings

Starlit, on May 1, 2019 at 7:59 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
So i hage pretty bad sensory issues, and i also have super slim fingers. When i try and wear rings, they end up slipping over my knuckle because if I go any tighter it becomes extremely uncomfortable. I also do a lot of outside work, and expensive does not go well with dirt. Does anyone have any alternative to engagement rings?? (Silicone rings bother me too)

Some people don't wear rings. Some of my mom's friends don't and neither does my boss. So I wouldn't stress too much if you really don't like rings. I don't really have an idea of what would be a good substitute. Maybe you could wear a necklace with your FS's initials?

I know some people who don't wear a ring at all. Not sure how you feel about tattoos but I know some people who have a really cute design tattoos on their ring fingers. My mom actually has one it is just cute swirls ( kinda like this.. ~ ) and then my dads name, She does wear her rings most of the time but when she takes them off she still has the tattoo.

Have you considered a wooden engagement ring? Or another piece of jewelry to use as an engagement “ring or wedding set” like a watch, necklace or earrings. Or get a ring and place it on a necklace or bracelet if you can wear them

Or get something that you love and that is special to you, have it on display at your house.

I’m a farmer and never wear mine! I even forget to put it on half the time when I’m actually able to wear it bc I’m just not used to it. Personally, it doesn’t bother me not to wear it! I’m thinking about getting a chain to put my rings on to wear as a necklace bc I don’t find them super comfy anyway. I also considered the tattoo but since I do work with my hands a lot I think the ink might not last very well

My uncle gave my aunt a single earring. It was a stud with his birthstone. It worked for them.

Are you opposed to a tattoo? I know a lot of friends who hate wearing rings who they and their spouse just got tattoos. I have always liked the idea.

My fiancée also has sensory issues and won’t be wearing a ring. She is thinking of either putting it on a necklace chain, or having her ring sized for me, so I can wear it.

Hey there!! Have you found a solution to your engagement ring issue? I really love the idea of wearing it on a necklace! It mean that you don't have to miss out on having a special engagement ring but you won't have to worry about it sliding off your fingers!
