I cried a bucket of tears today

I don't have many friends, this is not my first wedding and my MOH lives halfway across the country. Today my boss came to me and told me that tomorrow they are throwing me a shower. I have only 4 co-workers and they will all be there as well as some of my favorite clients. I am so honored and so humbled, I cried a bucket of tears today and I know I will again at the shower.

I am also coming to grips with the very real possibility that my mother will not be coming to my wedding. She has COPD and is having a bad week and most likely will not be up to traveling.

I am 4 days out and I am so blown away by the love around me, ladies please don't lose sight of what is most important about these events and while gifts are great, its really about the love and support.

Thanks for letting me be a bit weepy.

    Owww, sorry about you mom, COPD sucks especially the period they are exacerbating. At least you know that you are loved, happy tears here too...

    Aww, that's so awesome of your coworkers. Sometimes it takes a gesture like that to realize maybe your coworkers are some of your closest friends and you didn't even know it.

    I know I'm going to be weepy at my shower too. It's so awesome to have support like that - its not even about the gifts.

    Hello date twin! I am also sorry to hear about your mom's COPD. Isn't it amazing though the wonderful joy and people around you the closer you get. I had alot of weepy moments lately realizing it. I hope your day turns out amazing! I can't wait to see those pictures!

    That's great about your shower! I know it can be difficult to not have a lot of friends but obviously have ppl in your life that love you. I hope your mom gets to come. You are getting married on a very special day... my son's 8th birthday Smiley smile

    Thanks everyone, with my mom it is what it is she loves me and will be there if she can I know that.

    My coworkers have their great moments this is true lol.

    And yes they are happy tears!!!
