FutureMrs.LouisJean, on May 10, 2018 at 5:34 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 68
Hi lovely brides,

So i absolutely adore and love my dress... but i didn't cry when i said yes to the dress. Are there any other brides here who didn't cry when they found their dress??? Please share stories and pictures if you want to! :-)

I didn't cry. However, I cry. Even at my wedding I didn't cry.

Not everyone has the same reactions. That's okay. As long as you love your dress and see yourself getting married in it, that's all that matters.

I didn't cry when I found mine. Everyone reacts differently as pp stated. Obviously I was extremely happy but I'm not much of a crier. Might be water works on the wedding day though, I get emotional just thinking about it!

Neither did I. Neither did lots of people. It’s kind of funny, I have some videos of me walking in the dress bc my consultant had me walk a “runway” to get a better view/perspective. When I watch the video I can pinpoint the exact moment when I realized that it was The One, but all it is is a little scowl-y smirk on my face. It’s like the “oh yeah, this is right” face

I didn't cry either. And I cry at the drop of a hat, so I really thought I would. Not everyone cries and there is nothing wrong with that. We are taught by movies and TV shows that if we don't cry it means it isn't THE dress, so I'm glad you still love your dress. Smiley smile

I didn’t think I would cry, but when I thought about my FH seeing me on our wedding day in the dress I was excited about and the consultant put a veil on me I really surprised myself with happy tears. I don’t think it was about the dress, I think that more than the e-ring, seeing myself in a wedding dress made it all more real and that made me truly happy to be marrying the love of my life!

I didn't cry until the David's bridal lady gave that speech about "truly hoping all your wishes come true" and ringing the bell. I was under so much stress from wedding planning and other people's opinions that i went alone, and for once I felt like I had someone supporting what I wanted for my own wedding. That's why I cried😂

I did cry but the lady at the shop seemed genuinely surprised when I did and said that most brides don’t cry, lol!

I didn't cry either. My whole dress shopping experience lasted about half an hour 😊 I hate shopping so I was relieved that it was over!
When I rang the bell at David's Bridal, people around the store were like "woooooo!!" And I went "yeaaaah" and that was it 😂

I cried when I tried on a dress that everyone else in the store (David's) thought was The One, but I knew it wasn't. I actually kinda hated it, but all these people gathered around and raved about how perfect it was, and they put the veil on me and I burst into tears. So they all started applauding and I was just thinking, "No, no! I hate this dress and I'm just feeling so much pressure right now!"

When I tried on My Dress during another trip to David's, it was more like, "Ahhhhhhh... Now THIS is more like it." No tears. Smiley smile

I am the biggest crier in my family and friends!! But no I didn't cry when I found the dress. It was everything I wanted but I think it felt surreal when it happened.

I didn’t cry over my dress or even at our wedding. I’m normally very emotional and get anxiety before social situations but I was completely calm.

I didn’t cry I just felt like this was the dress and I liked it. I was excited and I knew that I wasn’t going to 100 bridal shops to look for a dress.

I didn't cry! All I know some of my bridesmaids were all emotional when I was trying on dresses. In the end I choose the 1st dressed I tried on.

I didn’t think I would cry but I cried as soon as I saw my mom crying! But while we were shopping for bridesmaids dresses we saw a bride who cried, rang the bell, then tried on another dress and went with the second one! Everyone reacts different so I think you can still love your dress even if you don’t cry!
