I didn’t cry either, but I also didn’t know at the time if it was the dress. But it was the only dress that made my head feel like it would explode, like “what is happening here, didn’t expect this!” And I felt SO good in it. When I went back to purchase, the consultant had my try it on again and I was all smiles. That’s when I knew. No tears either time but I was probably close when I actually bought the dress.

I definitely felt something when I found the one. I could see myself walking down the aisle in this dress. And when I pictured it in my mind, I almost did tear up, but I held back because I don't like to show those kinds of emotions around strangers.

Also, please excuse the bad quality, my mom and I had to sneak pictures because the shop didn't allow them to be taken.

I didn’t cry, either. I just knew it was right. When I had the veil on and they asked me if I could see myself wearing this on my wedding day it was an immediate “yes”. My mother and my SIL cried, I smiled.

Not a bit of moisture fell from these eyes. I didn't expect to cry though--Disney movies are the only things can bring on the tears. I tried on my dress and was shocked how much I loved it considering I always said I disliked the look. Tried on the other 2 favorites again and I knew that it would be my dress.

We all thought that me, my mom, my sister, and my FMIL would cry when I found the one as we are all criers but surprisingly enough none of us did. I was very skeptical about finding the dress going into it and I hated all the other dresses I tried on. I think that my joking about the other dresses and my reactions to those lightened the mood too much for us to cry lol. The dress also has to be altered because it was missing key elements (corset back and the biggest bow I can get) that I needed for it to really be the one so maybe once everything is done I will cry with it on.

I wasn’t sure my dress was MY dress when I put it on the first time. I had to take it off and try a handful of others after it before I realized it. I kept comparing all the rest to that one and how I felt in it, and that was when I knew it was mine.

I think I was just sort of in shock because I had this idea in my head that I’d end up with a fluffy ballgown and this dress is so not that. I think I was sort of confused and overwhelmed at first, because none of the ballgowns made me feel that way.

I did cry when they threw a veil on me though. It got so real at that moment. It was like holy crap I’m getting married and not just playing dress up in all these pretty dresses.

I didn’t need to cry, one of my bridesmaid was bawling enough for all of us. Lol! But seriously, no tears from me even though I knew it was the one and it made me happy.

I'm so glad to hear that im not the only one that didn't cry. I had dress regret for months because I couldn't get over the fact that i didn't cry. I'm usually an emotional person..thinking about renewing our vows soon makes me tear up..i think I just need to see it all come together. Thank you for sharing this post!

I also didnt cry but according to my mom and aunt they could tell it was the dress by my face when I walked out of the dressing room. I also analyze everything and was looking at the dress saying it has everything I want and and like in it so I let myself go with it.

I didn’t cry either. I just had this feeling of being very sure and kinda giddy when I said yes to the dress. Dress got me all hypnotized. Couldn’t stop staring at it in the mirror.

I didn’t cry either when I found mine but I’m in love with my dress. I knew it was the one when I didn’t want to take off and when I left the boutique all I could think about was walking down the aisle in my dress.

Not one tear shed. Even remotely. I don’t understand the crying with the dress.

I actually cried at a dress that was way out of my price range and was so bummed that I couldn't afford it. Then found the dress I bought, didn't she'd a tear, and am SOOOO thankful now that I picked that dress. The first, super pricey dress was gorgeous but not "me." The dress I got is so great and I feel so lucky that I didn't follow my emotions over the first dress. So clearly emotions can lead us astray sometimes.

The dress I wore at my first wedding looked nothing like the photo. (I bought it online at a knockoff site and had major buyers remorse.) I didn't cry when I saw it, I more growled and uttered a few unpleasant phrases under my breath. I did, however, cry when my dad (who's not an expert in women's fashion) saw my dress next to the photos of what it Should have been, and said, "That's not the same dress." If you love your dress and it both flatters you and fits your personal style, you've got nothing to worry about. However, if you're having second thoughts, maybe wear the dress you have for the reception and select a different dress for the ceremony (or vice versa).

It was pretty funny. It was Super Bowl Sunday, so the place was packed with women shopping before the game and everyone was watching everyone else try on dresses. So we all had a huge audience. It was a total fiasco. I couldn't get out of the store fast enough after I finally extricated myself from the dress - and the crowd. Smiley laugh
