i didn't cry when i found my dress!

I didn't cry the first time I tried mine on, but when I tried it on to show my parents I cried like a baby! That probably has more to do with my dad crying than the dress itself though

I didn't cry. I really like my dress and it fit my theme very well but by the time I bought my dress I was pretty much emotionally checked out from my wedding. I was thrilled to be marrying my H but I could have done that at the courthouse in jeans and a t-shirt and I probably would have been happier.

I didn't cry. And I tend to cry. Shoot, I cried reading my photographer's blog post about why he recommends a first look. I was excited. And relieved. But no tears.

I'm definitely not a cryer. Unless we watch a movie with sad parts and I've been drinking that is lol. FH was surprised I didn't cry when he proposed but then he thought about it and realized I don't cry when I'm happy.

I fell in love with my dress via Say Yes to The Dress... went to the designer's trunk show, he was there and designed something for me that I absolutely loved but no tears. Maybe when I go try it on I will but I don't think so. I thought I was crazy, thanks for letting me know I wasn't alone

This is where the wedding industry gets the worst of us. The only reason you feel like something is wrong about not crying when finding your dress is because of all of the hype surrounding dress shopping and finding “THE dress.” At the end of the day, it is just a dress… but the wedding industry has completely skewed our perspectives and expectations!

Neither myself nor my mom cried when I chose my dress.


I did have a knee shimmy and snarky grin lol
My mom also had the same grin.
We arent criers.
