i didn't love my hair trial (girl wasn't bad)... but i don't have $$ to do again

After I left, I realized my hair (didn't look much different than the norm), although the back was cute. I think I want to go in different direction. Silly to spend over 100 for another trial or worth it?

The reason that hair/makeup trials exist is to see if the artist can recreate the look you want while making sure you love it and it looks good on you. If you don’t have a trial and stay until you are happy with their work, then you will not feel your best with them on the wedding day. They should do at least a couple different styles and not end the appointment until you are happy. Do you want to go with someone completely different? Which will be in your best interest. Because meeting again with the same person and you don’t like the second round won’t improve anything.

I had my trial last week and I didn’t like my hair or my makeup. The updo wasn’t what I asked for and it fell out after only an hour and the makeup was so bronze-y on my fair skin that I turned Orange about an hour after she was done. I reached out to the salon immediately and said I wasn’t happy and why (sent them pics of what I asked for/showed the ladies that day vs pics of what I ended up getting). The salon offered to do a second trial for free, so it can’t hurt to ask for another one! You’re paying for the services so make sure it’s what’s you want! The salon would probably prefer they have happy brides and don’t lose the opportunity to do hair and make up for your entire group.

I hatedddd my hair trial. Like left in complete tears. I was so upset with how it turned out. The girl seemed to think it was acceptable but it just looked awful. Because I was so upset with it, I called the salon and asked for another trial with someone different. The salon offered to give me another trial and didn't charge me. I'm guessing because I made it clear I hatedd my hair. If you didn't have issues but didn't love it, I don't necessarily think they'd do that for you. But you do want to make sure you love your hair. If you think the stylist you had could do something else, then you might not need another trial. But if you want a completely different stylist, it might be worth it to get your hair done again. Maybe you can do it on a day you have something going on, so it feels more justified. Maybe you can find a way to cut costs somewhere else to cover those costs. You don't want to hate your wedding day hair and not having a trial you take that chance.
