i don't know if i want to get married till later when we are financially and home stables

It's totally up to you and your fiancé on what feels right to you both. Plenty of people want to finish a degree, have a stable job, buy a house, etc. before their partner gives them a ring. Nothing at all wrong with that. It's also acceptable if you both want to have a smaller wedding too. It's best to plan a wedding you can afford regardless of when you get married, so if the wedding of your dreams isn't in either of your budgets right now, I think it makes sense to wait.

People sometimes marry early so they can build their lives together. Waiting to marry may allow us to see the direction of life the fiance is heading in. The main thing is whether you have found someone you can look toward a life with.
