So FH and I are about to book our honeymoon. He keeps asking me how long I want to stay and what time we want to leave and all I can think about is being away from our son. So FH and I are about to book our honeymoon. He keeps asking me how long I want to stay and what time we want to leave and all I can think about is being away from our son. We've left him with my parents a few times over a weekend but no more than 2 days. The first time we left him was for a vday trip when he was 8 months old and I cried the second day. I know he'll be in good hands but I always miss my baby. He'll be 2, I guess I should be over this at this point lol. I know we'll have a great time and I can't wait to spend that time with FH, just a little sad about that. Anybody else feel this way about their little ones?

Yes! Im thinking of only going somewhere for a couple days for our honeymoon, our son will be a year and half at that time. He's almost 5 months now and i have never been away from him longer than the 8 hrs im at work and I'm dying to get home to him

I've only been away from my kids more than a night twice, this year and last year FH and I went on a 5-day cruise. (Mine are 7 and 8.)

I hated not being able to talk to them while we were at sea. FH made fun of me because the first thing I did as soon as we got to a port was call them! So if you decide to go, make sure it's someplace you can Skype or FaceTime or whatever!!

And kids usually have fun with their grandparents. And I think it's a nice treat for the grandparents, too! And then you don't want to kill them quite as much when you get back, haha!

When we go on ours our daughter will be 5 months old.I'm gonna be a WRECK on the plane but it's the last true "alone time" mom and dad are gonna get together for a long time, so it's important that we go.
