Hello everyone!

I went to my third bridal store on Saturday and found my dream dress!! Well....TWO dream dresses! AND I stayed under budget!! I plan on wearing the ballgown to our ceremony for the added length and drama, then the fitted dress to our reception! I haven't told FH that I got two dresses, and the reception dress is something he'd never expect me to pick since I'm very big on hiding my body in clothes. I've lost a little weight, and plan on losing much more before the wedding, so I'm excited to see how they'll fit after alterations are made! Def. plan on taking extra volume out from the first skirt because I still feel like it's too much lol.

To everyone that has commented and given me advice on my previous forums about dress shopping, THANK YOU! Your advice was so helpful, and being open to different dress styles helped me realize the shape I have, and sparked some confidence in me! I never thought I'd pick a fitted dress that's also strapless, but I felt so comfortable in both dresses, and while walking (and dancing) around, I never once pulled on the top! Thanks again everyone!Smiley heart

Front of the ceremony dress: belt does not come with it, not sure if I'd want one or a sash, thoughts?

Back of the ceremony dress: LOVE the buttons down the back!

back of the reception dress: Basically the same as the first dress, just a different style!

Oh damn, they are GORGEOUS on you! my dress is very similar to your ceremony one, just with straps. I did also look at dresses like your second one, but they didn't suit my figure in the end, so I went with the big ballgown. I LOVE a dramatic skirt! I know I probably won't ever have another chance to wear such a ridiculously large skirt again, so I am going for ALL the drama!

Okay blushing! 🥰 Thank you so much for the sweet words, Rosie!

I've been contemplating whether or not I want to add straps to either or both dresses, so I'm going to have to see what the seamstress thinks! I also love the drama of the ceremony dress! I'm only 4'11", so I still feel a little swallowed up in the pouf lol, so I'll ask how much they can take out underneath! NEVER thought I'd go for a form fitting dress because I'm so accustomed to covering my body up in baggier clothes, but something changed in that bridal shop 😅. I (hopefully) won't have another chance to wear dresses so grand, so I went ahead and got both!

I just saw this now! I think this happens for loads of women, and how lovely it does!

and noooo... you can never have too much pouf, LOL!

I think your dress looks lovely without straps, but wouldn't be spoilt if you added them! I personally wanted extra support. Hopefully your seamstress has some suggestions for you.
