Hey, everyone. I forgot to do the one thing I should have done. ADD A RSVP card or any other RSVP info to my invites. I sent out about 70 invites and I have seating for that many. I also have enough food to cover 60 people. I don't see 70 people showing up. Do you guys think it will be fine since...

Now I feel slightly dumb and stressed. The wedding is 27 days away. I'm probably overthinking lol.

Doesnt seem like there is a "caterer" more just food being ordered. Maybe from a restaurant?

Is your caterer going to be responsible for keeping the other foods you bring in at the proper temperature? This all seems very risky. I'd get a solid RSVP and then adjust my catering with the caterer from there.

We did include RSVP on ours, but NO ONE did it. 🤦 I dont think my FH's family understood the concept because they just show up to stuff. We text them all over the weekend to verify if yes they were coming or no they weren't. And one said "oh we were suppose to do that?" YES! That's why it was on the invite! Lol so RSVP doesn't always go the way you think, even if you put it on the invite.

Could you just get more envelopes and send the rsvp cards separate? Maybe print a little note that says “with all the excitement of planning this wedding I forgot to include an rsvp!”.

You need to follow up. Starting now.

You also need to arrange food for the amount of people you invited. What if all 70 do RSVP yes? then what?

For my sister's wedding (10 years ago), they did not do RSVP cards. They made sure there was (more than) enough food for those invited. (Ex: 300 invited, 325+ person buffet) Immediate family members were also able to take home the leftovers because my Great Aunt's catering service did the meal.
RSVP cards are definitely not necessary but can save you money because you won't have to pay for extra meals to cover yourself. I would make sure the catering can feed AT LEAST 70 people...otherwise you need to contact everyone (phone, email, snail mail) ASAP.
