9-25-21 ❤️
It was spectacular and here are some thoughts that could possibly be helpful for some of you.
- it’s important to remember (was for me anyway) that unless it’s something actually serious, the things that “go wrong” don’t really go wrong. Not in a noticeable way anyway!
- do NOT mess with your hair and makeup schedule and embrace the early morning start. We finished *two hours* late. It was supposed to be:
2:30pm get into dress
2:30-3:45pm photos with bridesmaids and mom
4pm first look
4-4:45pm photos with groom
I didn’t get into my dress until 4:30! We did the first look and that’s it. After the ceremony, my husband (😱) was so hot that he had very little tolerance for photos and we barely took any lol. It’s probably the only thing I actually am a bit bummed about.
- a day of coordinator means the difference between you working or someone else working for you on your wedding day. If you can swing it, highly recommend.
- a fancy looking getting ready robe looks great in pictures and is such a fun way to have something special on all day before your actual dress
- we chose “You Make My Dreams Come True” by Hall & Oates as a recessional song and dancing our way back down the aisle is one of my favorite moments of the day
- get the cold fireworks!!! What a neat surprise it was for everyone, including us, when they went off during our first dance
Deep breath, and enjoy. ❤️
