I HATE line dances!

I actually love them and think they are so much fun! They get everyone up.

LOL I love them & the wobble is my favorite...I think I'm going to do that & the traditional electric slide but that's it

You're not alone! I love them, but I hate them at weddings. I think it takes the flow away from the party atmosphere. I was at a wedding once and a lot of people took a break from dancing during the line dances. I'm not having them at my wedding either.

HATE THEM! The only one I can almost tolerate is the electric slide since it brings me back to school dances.

FH and I had a big arguement over this when doing our DJ papers. I do not want the chicken dance or macarena or any other line dance. I know people enjoy them so he won the fight however as long as I am not expected to do it. I don't ever do them so this won't be an exception. Oh and if by chance a picture surfaces of me doing one on that date, you will know I had too much champagne.

I'm teaching my 5 and 4 year old the electric slide prior to my wedding. I can't stand the cuteness :-)

I met my first husband at a line dance club, so I guess I should hate them, but I don't.

@Christine same with me! if a pic surfaces, I most def had too much to drink! lol

I hate the overdone line dances -- Cupid Shuffle, the Electric Slide, Cha Cha Slide... even the Wobble is starting to get on my nerves.

But I love actual line dancing. Like, at a country bar to country music, with lots of turns and kicking that isn't so easy to pick up -- the harder they are, the less people on the floor, the more room for ME!!

@Reenski, my sister LOVES country line dances. I might throw one in there just for her because she's been awesome during my planning process. Speaking of less people on the dance floor, my 4yr old nephew has informed me that the grownups better not get on the dance floor cause he wants enough space to do his "cool moves" lol

Haha I DO TOO! I told my DJ if he plays anything beside the cha-cha slide I wouldnt pay him. He was so confused. I was like I hate them. Maybe YMCA if the crowd is into it but I dont want any music from before the 80s- hate it all! He was so confused haha.

I do like the line dances once in a while because they get everyone up and dancing after all the dumb jumping/pop songs you can't really dance to.

My FH HATES them as well! However, they are standard at all parties in my family and I have found at other events that line dances can often open up the dance floor. Heck, even my grandma will do the electric slide LOL! I promised FH only three line dances.

I really don't like them, but they get people on the dance floor. One was played at our wedding, and I just went to the bathroom. But the fact that my H's 86 year old godfather had a blast dancing to it is worth me listening to something I don't like for 3 minutes.

I like them Everyone dances when they come on.

@Mrs. S, you have a good point. I do recall my grandma doing the electric slide at another family function a few years ago and she was adorable doing it. I might have to rethink this...

I hate them too, but it does get people up. I think it depends on your crowd.

I don't mind the occasional line dance but I get annoyed when it's one right after the other. I much prefer a mix of decades and styles

@MinD I totally agree! I don't like a bunch happening around the same time, but when they come on I do get excited lol

Love them like mentioned they get people groovin' The wobble is my fav lol I think 1 or 2 should be ok if needed! So tell your DJ if the dance floor is bumpin' to not bother playing any but if it needs a lil pick me up have him play a line dance.
