False, I used to not like hearing it and I found I dislike saying it just as much. No clue why.

Yes I call him my fiancé when I can, but if the person I’m talking to knows him, I use his name. I can wait to call him husband though 😊

So true! In fact I evolved his nickname to Fiancé.... Not that it's very original, but when we met he was my "Spring Break Boyfriend". When we moved in together he was "Boyfriend", so naturally now it's Fiancé until Husband.

True but it’s more just because I like showing that we are getting married but not in a bragging sense but in a proud sense to each other. I just can’t wait to call him my husband.

FALSE! I feel like it sounds silly and childish. I use partner, because that's what we have always been.

In P.R. you're considered boyfriend/girlfriend until you're married BUT you're considered husband and wife if you live together with your spouse, married or not. It's strange to hear someone introduce their spouse as "prometido/prometida" (fiancé) without someone actually asking because people easily jump to the conclusion of "they're just saying it out loud to call out attention". So many couples just wear the ring and keep it to themselves or close ones. If they see the ring, they just jump out of nowhere and ask if you're engaged and think whatever they want to think. From then, you hear the word "pareja" (partner) when they're introducing each other or introducing you to other people, followed maybe by a "se van a casar" (they're getting married). It's really confusing lol so every wedding or relationship here has a different name or starting point or whatever 😂 I never actually used the word "fiancé" but use the words "futuro esposo" (future husband) to introduce my spouse and make refference to him, and he has introduced me as his "prometida" (fiancé). He looks at it from the point that even though those words aren't too much used here, he loves to say it correctly. He also says that since day 1 because to him it means I'm promised to him from life, as if I was a gift or something. He says it gives it a formality tone he loves hearing, and agrees with how I introduce him as well. In the end, I'm his "prometida" while he's my "futuro esposo".

False. I use it sometimes when talking to vendors. I feel like it's advertising my engagement and/or wedding planning and I don't want to get into it with every single person. My boss actually commented how I don't use the word, so now I jokingly refer to my FH as "my betrothed."

True. Although it did feel weird saying fiancé at first bc reality set in that I’m engaged and I’m getting married. But feel good about saying it.

The day after we got engaged, we made a stop at Starbucks and I jokingly asked the barista to write “Fiance” on his cup- and this is what we ended up with! I thought it was so funny.
I agree with some people on here though, I feel weird calling him fiancé since it’s so short term. I think it’s also because we were together for 4 years prior to getting engaged and I’m just used to calling him my boyfriend.
