Here is the way I jump started my diet. I stopped eating bread totally and no potatoes or chips. Also don't eat fried foods or pasta. Eat 4 small meals a day instead of what I did and ate 2 large meals. Hope it helps I lost 20 lbs my first 5 days by cutting out bread.

Tons and tons of water and stay away from fruit juice or soda. Cardio 2 times a day. I ended up getting stuffed into a corset to fit my gown so keep that in mind last minute, but it will not be comfortable.

    Best Wishes,

Your wedding is the same day as mine! I am thinking of cutting out carbs and doing a colon cleanser for this last week. I've also heard that athletes bundle up and do jumping jacks, push ups, etc. in steam rooms/saunas to drop weight fast. Good luck!

The diet in the first poster is good and a clenser is good also. I would also drink lots of water throughout the day before and during meals and try warm water in the mornings before you eat anything else. Water can fill you up so you dont eat too much just be carful with any salty food as they will retain liquids and make you look bloated. Try not haveing any salt at all. There are sauna suits that they sell at walmart and you sweat alot you could loose like a pound more a day by excercising and wearing it plus your skin will look flawless. Good Luck!

PLEASE don't plan on losing water weight for your wedding day (ie sauna suit, sweating it out)! You'll get dehydrated...you could pass out. it's such a bad idea.

Try fasting every other day starting now, and on your off day only drink fresh juices (or raw veggies). On your eating day eat balanced, healthy and in moderation. Take liquid vitamins every day. there's lots of studies that show this is totally healthy for the human body.

Don't try anything drastic during the last few days before your wedding, you don't know how you'll react and you want to feel good on your wedding day!

I think the first poster is right. Its pretty much phase 1 of the south beach diet. You have to eat at least 4-6 times a day and the south beach diet says to have AT LEAST half a cup of veggies with each meal. I found large leaf lettuce with a slice of smoked turkey or chicken, a slice of red bell pepper and a little fat free mayo sprikled wtih garlic salt made for an easy and great snack. I did this diet last year and lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks but I wasnt working out. If you hit the gym while doing this you should be able to drop at least 10 I would think.

Cut out sodas completely. Eat more fruits and vegetables (organics if possible) raw or steamed. Also eat lean meat such as chicken and fish. Stay away from all junk foods, fried foods and processed foods(ie: fast food)and anything with corn syrup in it. Taking a multivitamin daily is beneficial as well. Drink lots of water!!! I agree with a previous poster. Losing water weight will dehydrate you. Be active. Excercise daily whether is hiking, bike riding, swimming or playing a sport. This is how I live daily and have maitained myself at 5'7" 120 lbs.

Crash diets often leave you feeling weak and malnourished and sick... I tried one once and lasted 6 hours LOL!!! You really dont want to do a full "crash diet" the week before you get married because you want to be at your best that day and the diet will DEFINITELY leave you feeling tired and possibly even sick. What I would suggest is just cut out all sweets, sodas, caffeine and major carbs (some are ok, your body needs them). Stick to lean meats and SMALLER portions... eat small meals 4-6 times a day to keep your metabolism going and drink a lot of water!!! Also try and get 30 minutes of exercise in everyday... twice if you have the time. A week honestly is going to show you a lot of change but it may if you do the right things... but most importantly you have to keep yourself healthy!!! Good Luck Smiley smile

Also you can eat alot of cooked or raw veggies throughout the day as snacks... fruits are also good for you but watch the sugar in some of them!!! Smiley smile

As a certified personal trainer your best bet is to:

    1. elminate all carbs

    2. drink only water, black coffee and tea

3.lot of fiberous veggies with some tuna, chicken, eggs

4: get a can of physillium husk fiber (colon cleanser) and use once a day

5: cardio as soon as you get up in the morning. Do not eat prior or youre burning whats in your stomach and not the fat.

    6. drink more water!

Hi Kay! Congrats on your upcoming day! I just would like to tell you to be careful with your crash diet! us fellow brides don't want you passing out on your wedding day! Just remember to eat something the morning of your wedding, like some yougurt and sliced bananna/berries, with a little bit of granola, Just cause it's going to be a busy day and you might not get to eat until supper time! Best of luck!

I know you asked about crash diets but my concern is that you might be tired weak and even cranky on the day of - I wonder if you can ask a seamstress to do a let out of the dress? It may be a little more expensive for the rush but for the consequences could be less damaging. In addition cutting out the carbs etc can still be helpful

Good Luck and enjoy your day.

Kay, I'm not sure where you're located. There's a doctor named Dr. Ravenna 15651 Imperial Hwy

    La Mirada CA 90638

    (562) 943-6715

Call him, he can definitely help you out with a weight loss plan that will at least help you take off a good 5-10 (depending on whether or not you're willing to work out) before the wedding. You will need to cut out all sweets, liquor (except maybe ONE glass of wine at dinner), and snack on ONLY fruits and veggies until the wedding (no junk food etc.). He can definitely help.

I agree with some of the other posters comments. Please be careful doing anything drastic the last two days before the wedding, it could turn out really bad! Some spas offer a body cleanse wrap and you can lose inches in just an hour. Maybe you can find a local place offering that. Also if you are a regular soda drinker you can drop pounds in a few days by cuting it out of your diet. Good Luck!

Body wraps are great but you youll gain the inches through out the day so my advise to you is that if you do decide too do the body wrap make sure you do is the day of if you have any time! Good luck

Jaclyn S. the colen clease is not that bad, but you need to do it when you don't have anywhere to go, it'd be bad to be out and have the urge to go the toilet! Good thing about it is that my tummy has gotten flatter too!
